We all know the feeling: Remote meetings have become stale, and everyone’s just going through the motions.
There are two types of remote workers in the world: those who do like this meme the first few minutes of a virtual meeting, and those who lie ๐
But worry not, because today, I’ll share three simple steps to revitalize your weekly meetings and keep your team engagedย
1) Create a rotating Remote Meetings Agenda Master
Assign one team member per week to be the “Agenda Master” to:
–ย prepare the agenda
–ย gather input from other team members
–ย ensure the meeting stays on track.
This approach keeps remote sessions dynamic, allowing everyone to contribute and take ownership. Plus, it’s a fantastic opportunity for team members to develop their leadership skills.

2)ย Introduce a “Wins and Challenges Segment”ย
Start each meeting with a quick round of sharing individual wins and challenges from the past week.

It’s a great way to maintain a pulse on your team and spot potential issues early on. Plus, it sets a positive tone for the rest of the meeting!
3) Incorporate interactive elementsย
Break the monotony by including interactive elements in your meetings.
Use polls, quizzes, or quick brainstorming sessions to keep the energy up, and team members engaged.
You could also invite guest speakers or rotate team members to give short presentations on relevant topics.
The key is keeping things fresh and exciting while focusing on the meeting’s goals.ย

Bonus tip: The Remote Meetings 30-second spotlight

It’s a quick and fun way to build connections among your team and can serve as a fantastic icebreaker for new members.ย

I’m a super fan of Linkin Park . Last week I attended a tribute band concert, and I shared this with one of my colleagues in Sales.
There was no reason to share this. It was utterly off-topic in our discussion.
Well.. I discovered that his wife is a super fan and has a couple of tattoos about Linkin Park!ย
This detail has helped to increase the level of trust between us, and we are working better and better together.
